I know you can get iPhone ringtones off of itunes, but is there a website you can use to get free ones, like phonezoo? cause phonezoo doesn't work and i really wanna get some better ringtones... please help.
Iphone ringtones?
Depending on what operating System you have.
If you have Windows (XP or Vista) you would need a program that can convert songs to M4R. You can simply google Mp3 to m4r converter and you will see many options.
If you have Mac OS X (leopard) perfect! That means you have Garageband. If so, that means you can convert any song into an m4r. Then all you have to do is just transfer them to iTunes.

Reply:I had this problem to until yesterday when I saw this answer on Answers so know I will share it with you. When you go on myxer.com there is a link that says send to my phone (after you have gone to the song that you want.) Don't click on this. Under it it says download for iPhone. Click there. Once you have clicked this it will say open or save. Push save. You will save it on your computer. Once it is saved on your computer it will be in a folder of some kind, possibly your music folder. Then open up the folder that its in and your iTunes. It MAY be in your ringtones section of your iTunes(mine was) automatically, but if it isn't then just manually drag it there. Then all you have to do is sync your phone and tada you will have ringtones!

I just bought it on iTunes after a while...
it actually depends on what firmware you have [1.0.2, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4]. I'm pretty sure you can put ringtones on it if you have 1.0.2 oe 1.1.3 /1.1.4. But that requires you to jailbreak it which is the most stressfull thing ever and it can void your warranty.

hey ppl okay so heres my problem, i have an iphone and i really wanna get certain ringtones that itunes wont let me get, plz help me and give me a legit site that works with the iphone, or a way that i can get these ringtones that i actuall want.

I have a Motorola Razor (Alltel). And I would really like to make my own ringtones.I have an account at Phonezoo.com and Im happy with it...the bad thing is that the ringtones can only be 30 seconds long....and thats not long enough for some of the ringtones I want to make.....SO all I want is a place where I can upload an mp3 file, cut it the way I want, have it be any length, and then text it ito my phone. Polyphonic ringtones compatibility??
i have a tracfone phone model motorola v170, im wondering if it is even possible to put polyphonic tones on this phone, it has a note maker thing, but thats it, i dont want alot of sites where i can find ringtones, thats nice and all, leave those if you want, but what i REALLY want to know is just if it's possible to put ringtones onto this phone. thx.

I have searched and searched for free ringtones for this partictular phone and as of yet, the only site that I have come across is www.crostel.net. I have yet to be able to get any ringtones from that site. Anyone else have any suggestions of other websites for a Tracfone? Thank you in advance.

i have a krzr and i always got my ringtones by sending them by email. now everytime i do it the ringtone goes to sound and cant put it as ringtone. i dont use phonezoo bacause it never arrives or mobile17. is there another way 4 ringtones????

I have a brand new Motorola i880 Nextel.
I am trying to figure out how to use the ringtones on my computer and trasfer it to my phone. I already have a program where you can chop the length and save it mp3/wma...
I am currently stuck on trasferring it, I tried bluetooth and a memory card reader and they both don't work.
I am about to try the USB cable but have no clue on how to do it (didn't come with intructions). So any one who knows anything about ringtones transfering, answer please!

Reply:In order for you to add music or pictures (media) to your phone. You would need to get the Motorola Phone Tools Software, because when you plug your razor into your computer, your razor wont be able to charge nor read it. Therefore, you need the Motorola Phone tools software, which you can get thru Motorola. Call motorola and tell them you need the software, and they should be able to send you the free software or they can send it to you to your email, just mention you got the motorola razor.
Reply:You should be able to just hit menu button, go all the way over to the left, to the red arrow, click on Get tunes and tones, then just scroll down and see if your music is there. If not, go back up and click on #3 and see what happens. Hope I helped.

I've been trying several websites for free ringtones, such as phonezoo.com, myxertones.com and ventones.com. I'm with verizon and I know that verizon is making problems with getting free ringtones. So far every site I tried, I didn't receive my ringtone. Is there anybody who has verizon too and knows for sure which site works? PLEASE!!

Just for a laugh, I want to try and create ringtones and messagetones for my mobile phone, but the small memory cannot fit full tracks in. Obviously, isn't meant to, but does anyone know any downloads which allow you to "clip" parts (e.g 15 seconds worth) of mp3 tracks to create ringtones?

1.First, you buy the unlimeted minibrowser for 5 dollars each month (don't click back I got more) and click "Fun and Games" then click ringtones, it should bring you to an aliant page, then find the catigory you like. It costs $2.50 for each download, but it's worth it. If you would like to listen to it go to the aliant page on your computer.
2. Don't go looking on google for "free ringtones" because there are no sites that support 2125i, trust me I checked. Your biggest waste of time is www.funformobile.com, you get half way done when you figure out that they don't support aliant or Nokia 2125i. You can go on the minibrowser without the plan, but I recommend it. Then go to www.mixxer.com they support the 2125i, but you should buy a coupon.
3. If you live in the U.S.A (I don't) then buy your ringtones in Canadian dollars. There cheaper!
4. Don't waste your time going on aliant an trying to sign in, it won't work. The only way is to pay! ($2.50)

If you didn't get one then don't worry just go to Radio Shack and they would have a generic cable which will probably cost you no more than 5 or 10 bucks.
Once you have that you can just simply transfer all the tones to your phones :)

Audacity & Ringtones?
I have the program Audacity and I make a lot of ringtones... The ringtones are really big though, I export them as mp3's .. how can i make them smaller?!

I've run into the same problem, and what I realized is that since these are ringtones, they aren't exactly going to be playing over high-quality sound systems. :P First thing I do (after editing) is make the whole thing mono, since having two separate channels for something playing over one little phone speaker would be an unnecessary waste of space. Then, I encode the MP3 at a lower bitrate than I usually would for anything else. This might take a bit of experimentation depending on what's in the ringtone, but I never really go over 128. For 15-30 second ringtones, I usually end up with something that's around 300-500 KB, which is perfect for my phone which only allows files under 640 KB to be used as ringtones. :)
Reply:You can reduce the bitrate of the songs. Since they're playing on a cell phone they probably don't sound fantastic anyway. Reducing the bitrate from 192 kbps to 128 kbps probably won't be noticeable from a cellphone's speakers.
Edit: Audacity will only save at 128 kbps if you don't use the LAME plugin, which will allow you to choose bitrates up to 320 kbps and as low as 16 kbps.

Download it and unzip it to a directory. I generally use Audacity's directory.
Open Audacity, go to Edit menu %26gt; Preferences, choose the "File Formats" tab. The bottom section is "MP3 Export Setup". Click the "Find Library" button and navigate to the directory where you put the LAME .dll file (it's in the unzipped folder). Select lame_enc.dll and click ok.
Now you should be able to choose your bit rate in the same "File Formats" tab. Pick something lower than it currently is (96 or 64 kbps should be fined ) and click okay... you're done.

Creating ringtones from mp3 files?
Just for a laugh, I want to try and create ringtones and messagetones for my mobile phone, but the small memory cannot fit full tracks in. Obviously, isn't meant to, but does anyone know any downloads which allow you to "clip" parts (e.g 15 seconds worth) of mp3 tracks to create ringtones?
