I've been trying several websites for free ringtones, such as phonezoo.com, myxertones.com and ventones.com. I'm with verizon and I know that verizon is making problems with getting free ringtones. So far every site I tried, I didn't receive my ringtone. Is there anybody who has verizon too and knows for sure which site works? PLEASE!!

Getting ringtones from my computer to my V-cast Razr phone...?
How do I get ringtones I have downloaded on my computer onto my V-Cast Razr phone? I know I need to use a USB cord, but like what software do I use to sync the ringtones to the phone. I hooked up my phone to the computer with the USB, but i dont know what to do next...help please!?

I just got a phone that you can download ringtones to. Do you guys download from your provider or do you download ringtones from other places?

Because I don't have a lot of time, here is a simple way to get free ringtones.
If you have a web-enabled phone (where you can tell it to go to a certain web address), you can basically upload a sound clip and then point your phone's web browser at it and tell it to download it.
You'll need to find a program that can cut down mp3's on your computer to like a 20 second clip (only 20 seconds cause most phones don't ring any longer before going to voicemail). You'll then need to upload that new mp3 onto a website (your Internet Service Provider usually provides you with some webspace). Then you tell your phone to go to that web address and download the ringtone.
I've done it for years with my T-Mobile phones with T-Zones. The great thing about T-Zones is that it's unlimited in download size so I can change the songs on my phone as often as I like.
If you don't have the means to download and upload, you can also point your web browser on your phone to any sample mp3 sound clip out there on the internet. Like I used to point my phone to walmart's site cause their song samples that you can listen to on the internet before you buy the cd was in mp3 format. I don't know if they still are, but if they are, that's one simple way to get free sound clips to be used as ringtones.

I have a Motorola RAZR by Verizon andI recently got a new phone because I broke my last one, and I had sent a bunch of my old pictures and ringtones to my email from my old phone. I have a Motorola c290. It is not bluetooth compatible, and is capable of having polyphonic ringtones. I do have one "real music" ringtone that is a portion of a song by Queen, with voices.
I want more VOICE ringtones, but the Sprint PCS site doesn't appear to have them.
Where can I get some? I don't mind paying for a ringtone if I want to have it, but I would like to be able to HEAR it first.
Any ideas?

The site Nextpimp.com has a ton of free rigntones that are exactly what you are looking for, but you have to have a data cable to attach your phone to your computer and a Nextel phone. However, if you go to that site and do some research through the site you may find some answers. I was able to locate a program for my Nextel that lets me convert any song I want into a Polyphonic ringtone and then download it to my phone through the data cable. You should give it a shot.

To upload any sound file to your Samsung A900 and use it as a ringtone without paying for the “Sprint Store” or “Power Vision” simply follow these simple step-by-step instructions.

Step 5 – Whip out your a900 and shoot a short camcorder movie of whatever. You only need to do this once.

Step 6– Connect your a900 to your pc using the USB cable it came with, then on your handset select tools%26gt;mass storage%26gt;connect to pc. This will let you upload files onto your phone.

Step 7 – On your PC look in “My Computer” for a drive which will appear as something like “Removable Disk”. Explore into it and click through DCIM%26gt; 100SSMED (or whatever is on your phone). Here you should see whatever pictures you’ve taken with your phone as well as any video. Copy the filename of the movie you shot in step 5.

Step 8 – Copy your ringtone in 3g2 format into the folder containing your sample camcorder movie. Delete your sample camcorder movie and rename your new ringtone file by single clicking and then pasting the sample movie’s name into it. For example, my new ringtone after I’ve done steps 1-8 is now called SSPX0033.3g2

Step 9 – To finally set your uploaded song as a ringtone, disconnect your a900 from your pc, then enter Settings%26gt;Sounds%26gt;Ringer type%26gt;Voice calls%26gt;With caller id%26gt; then scroll down to My Videos. You will see a file with a box and an X in it. Highlight it, select Options and select Play. If you’ve done your job you will be able to hear your new ringtone. If so, click back and then click assign. This ringtone will now play whenever someone calls and your phone is able to id them. To use it as an individual ringtone, go through your contacts list.
Final note - For any subsequent ringtones youll be making, just be sure to change the number in your final 3g2 file, such as SSPX0034.3g2 instead of SSPX0033.3g2

go to best buy or circuit city of whatever, and buy yourself an sd card reader like this one (its cheap)

make the ringtones with ventones and save the ringtone to your computer.
plug in the sd card reader with the sd card to the computer's usb port.

plug the sd card into the phone (which now has the ringtone saved in it)
now you have to text yourself the ringtone, by creating a new mms message, and texting yourself the ringtone as an attachment.
you will receive the ringtone as an attachment, and your phone will open it up and save it.
using this method verizon cannot block it because its coming from your own phone.
trust me, it works, i do it.
the other thing you can do, is get a friend that has an AT%26amp;T or Sprint phone to make ringtones from Ventones .
Have Ventones send the ringtone to them, and then have them text it to you as an MMS message. You will also receive it. Verizon sucks, and is blocking messages from free sites.

I'm getting a cingular go phone (pay as you go... i dont have a credit card) and i dont want to have to spend $250 dollars on the razr just so i can get ringtones off my computor using bluetooth. But the lady at the cingular store said i can't buy ringtones with a pay as you go phone. I was just wondering if theres any way to get music ringtones onto my phone without bluetooth. Like can i get a usb cable and that will work the same as bluetooth would to connect to my cpu? ok, i've got a new tracfone [ LG 3280] and i was wondering if there is anyway to get other ringtones onto it? i know about crostel and stuff, but i need something that doesnt require the phone to connect to a browser. is there any way i can get ringtones just through a text or something with no browser for this phone?

best bet is to go off and buy yourself a data card reader for your phone's memory card.
Then make the ringtones from this free site,
VENTONES dot com
then save the ringtone to your computer and then use the data card reader to save the ringtone to your phone's sd card,
then put the memory card back in your phone, and text the new ringtone to yourself as an attachment. Your phone will install it.
This is the only way I know of to avoid verizon's stupid block.

I just got a new phone. It's a Motorola Razr from Verizon. I downloaded a bunch of "ringtones" from the myxer website, but they saved to my "Sounds" folder and not my "Ringtones" folder. I can't make them as ringtones from my sounds folder, I can't move the sounds to a different folder. What should I do?

You have to download them with the special Verizon site next to the send to my phone, and also in your profile you have to I mean have to let them know that you are a Verizon customer.

Transferring ringtones to a Nokia 6030?
I have a Nokia 6030 phone with service through Cingular. Is there any way to transfer music clips (=ringtones) to the phone without going through Cingular's "ringtones store"? I'd like to put my own tones on the phone, not buy them from someone. Possible? Can I get a cable to connect the phone to my PC?

I just got my new cell and AMP'd gives a bunch of wallpapers and ringtones but I really want Godsmack "The enemy" and really don't have a wallpaper that I'm looking for. So anyone know a good site to buy ringtones that you don't have to pay for monthly? Can I get wallpapers online like picture searches and apply it to the phone? Plug in the iPhone and bring up iTunes
If it says that an update is avabile then download it.
Then go into the store in iTunes from there you should see a section for ringtones if not search for some song and at the end of the song titel, price and all that there should be a bell. The bell means it can be a ringtone.
Buy the song
then go into the purchased folder
right click the song and click make a ringtone
from there they guide you through making it a ringtone , its fun you get to fade it, loop it and whatever you want.
