Free Ringtones? How do you get them on your phone? See Details?

ok well I go to a site that offers free ringtones. and it says that I can save them on my computer and then hook up my memory card from my phone and put the ringtones onto my phone. but I can't figure out how to? because I tryed putting them on and then they are in my phone just like a regular song. how/where do I put them in my memory card? I have a Samsung M500
