Motorola KRZR Ringtones?

I have a motorola KRZR and i have a micro sd card which i have put pictures and ringtones on. I put the sd card in the phone and i can view the pictures, and apply them as wallpaper. Also I can listen to the ringtones but it will not allow me to apply one of them as my ringtone. also i may not apply the pictures on the micros sd as a ringer id. WITHOUT copying or moving the ringtones or pictures to my phone, how can apply the ringtones as my ringtone and how do i apply a picture as a ringer id?

Motorola KRZR Ringtones?
what i do for my motorola krzr is the following.

I make my ringtones from mp3 files from the site

Ventones

then i copy the ringtone to my phone's sd card with a usb card reader, then I text the ringtone to myself as an MMS atachment. Once i receive the text message, i can save the ringtone in the my ringtones section.

Reply:the phone is entirely capable of handling this, but unfortunately it is not possible using the method you mentioned because verizon is preventing it. you can try to experiment with bitpim.org to create your own ringtones and you can also get ringtones from sites that support your carrier.

Reply:You can use usb cable through a computer to transfer ringtones and other files you wish to your phone if your unit is capable of.If not,try bluetooth or MMS connectivity settings.Transfer desired tones %26amp; files through this connection to other phone and send them back to your phone via the same media setting.
