Are mosquito ringtones authentic, or are they simply a joke?

I've recently heard about the mosquito ringtones, which people over the age of 20 are alledgedly not able to hear due to hearing degeneration. I went on various websites such as Youtube to search for videos with the sound.





I wasn't able to hear most of the tones (and I'm 14). I really do think it's a scam to get people to download ringtones of nothing. And to tell the truth, I wouldn't download it even if it was for real: the few tones that I could hear irritated the living hell out me.





Are mosquito ringtones actually available for download on legit sites?

They exist I have one on my cell however the only bad part is only some cell phone companies supply them. And I tried it on my 32 year old teacher and he didn't hear a thing the only reason I got caught as because every one else was saying turn that **** off
