Ringtones on Motorola v265?

I have a USB cable for a Motorola v265 becuase I wanted to upload ringtones to my phone. I upload the ringtones but when I go to set them for a ringtone they will not play. It will play if I upload it to the "Media Gallery" but you cant set ringtones under media galley. How can I get my ringtones to work using the USB cable?
